Keep eating healthy everyone! It doesn’t have to be hard, you can make it fun by making smoothies and keeping fresh fruit stocked up all the time :)
This might be incredibly long, but I really want you guys to feel good with making progress and I want you all to succeed and be happy and confident :)
I don’t know how you guys are doing it. By eating healthy, by restricting certain foods, or by calorie counting. I’ve tried it alland more.
Recently, I tried a diet program that is pretty strict and intense. There were so many foods I couldn’t eat with it, but I thought summer is almost here, might as well give it atry.I was so determined I figured it would all work out great. The caloric intake was lower than what I was comfortable with too, but didn’t think twice. I tried it for a week and I definitely saw progress and lost weight. After that week I just couldn’t stick with it, I’d find myself craving any food more than ever! But I was still trying to stick with the program. I haven’t binged in so long like monthsss, but I started again. The progress I made started to go backwards and I was sooo frustrated that I slipped up so much.
So I went off of the program, and didn’t start anything else, no calorie counting, no points, just eating when I was hungry, eating healthier, and making sure I got my butt outside and went jogging for 2 miles a day. The day after I literally woke up thinking okay TIME TO EAT! … oh wait, it doesn’t matter lol, time to relax because I’ll have what I want later. I didn’t worry about every calorie in all the foods, but I did make sure I’d eat healthier foods. My mom went out and got me a bunch of fruit and I made a huuuuge fruit salad I think a few posts down on my page.
I’ve seriously never been more relaxed and happy not constantly having weight loss and food and calories on my mind! while I was still making progress.It’s crazy how much easier it is and not stressful! I do have a good idea about the ingredients and nutritional facts of most foods from trying everything since I was like 12 though. I recomend just maybe learningabout different foods, but don’t become obsessed counting them all.
Try just making healthy choices because I know I read a lot of posts about counting everything and honestly lovies it’s so much easier when you don’t have to worry, because you’re letting yourself eat what you want and not thinking about what you can’t have 24/7. But if you’re doing something like that and it’s working for you and you’re happy then that’s awesome! I just wanted to try and help out people who feel like they constantly struggle with food everyday, I hope every single one of you are doing great with your goals!! ♥
